Bean and Bacon Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (11.5-oz.) can condensed bean with bacon soup
  • 3 to 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic pepper
  • 6 to 8 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese

  1. In a large skillet or saucepan, cook beef until browned; drain fat. Stir in soup, bacon, garlic pepper, and salt to taste. Stir in 1/2 cup water, if desired.
  2. Cook and stir over low heat until heated through.
  3. To make sandwiches, spoon about 1/3 cup of the meat mixture on the bottom half of each bun. Add 1 tablespoon of the cheese, top with bun top, and serve.
