- In a large saucepan cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain fat. Stir in pinto beans, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Add chili powder to taste. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add cheese to beef mixture. Cook and stir until cheese is melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
