- Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium (300°F to 350°F). For the stuffing, in a small saucepan cook garlic in 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat until tender but not browned. Remove pan from heat; stir in parsley, green onions, breadcrumbs and (if desired) basil. Set aside.
- With a sharp knife, cut horizontally into but not through the steak to form a pocket. Fill pocket with stuffing. Brush steak with 1 teaspoon oil and sprinkle with pepper.
- Place steak on grill. Grill, covered, 5 to 8 minutes per side (145°F for medium-rare) or to desired doneness. Remove from grill; let stand 5 minutes. Cut into thick slices, and serve.
