"Sloppy" Bean and Bacon Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (11.5-oz.) can condensed bean with bacon soup
  • 3 to 6 bacon slices, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 6 to 8 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded Cheddar

  1. In a large skillet cook and stir beef over medium-high heat until browned; drain fat. Stir in soup, bacon and 1/2 cup water. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, until heated through.
  2. Spoon about 1/3 cup meat mixture on bottom half of each bun. Sprinkle with cheese and cover with bun top. Serve hot.
